Sabbath
We are one with the whole and perfect creative power of the Sabbath, eternally expressing as the power of God within us.
The Sabbath is not a vacation day; rather it is the final step in the creative process.
Through the creative process, we apply our Spiritual powers, do all that is ours to do and surrender to what is beyond our control. Then we enter the Silence, the stillness in which the power of God responds. It is not rest but quiet energy. It is not empty but filled with all possibility. It is the Silence, the final creative step that the writer of Genesis called the Sabbath. Charles Fillmore wrote, "The seventh day means the seventh or perfect stage of one's Spiritual unfoldment."
This is why Jesus never hesitated to do His healing work on the Sabbath, even though the strict laws of the time insisted He should not. He recognized and demonstrated that the Sabbath is the perfect day for the power of healing to express, for the Power of God to extend itself further as we move toward the Kingdom.
