Perspective
To help us in our Spiritual growth, and to love and appreciate our every effort to express God's Power, Jesus Christ remains available to teach and guide us as He did the disciples. In the face of any challenge this day may bring, let us affirm; "The illuminating love of Jesus Christ awakens and quickens my consciousness, and I discern clearly."
Jesus often demonstrated a shift in perspective and called His followers to do the same. In the post-resurrection appearance described in John 21, He appeared to His disciples after His Crucifixion, at a time when they were feeling great lack. They had returned to their work as fishermen, and there were no fish to be had. Suddenly they experienced Jesus Christ on the shore of the lake, although they did not immediately recognize Him. At His urging they cast their nets differently --- from a side of the boat they would not normally use --- and immediately the net was full of fish. Under the guidance of Christ, they commited themselves to a new perspective. Like Jesus, they went against the conventional wisdom of the time. As a result, they opened themselves to the abundance of God, their willing hearts called it into manifestation and their needs were easily met.
