In the stillness of my soul, I rest in the comfort of God's Presence.
As we contemplate the mystery and miracle of the Resurrection story that first Easter, we may not understand what happened. But something happened! Maybe the problem is in trying to understand the phenomenon in the framework of human experience. (Spiritual things must be spiritually discerned. We live in a human body and in a physical world. The Easter mystery must be in another dimension.)
What does that empty tomb mean? Incidentally, it must mean that there is something eternal about life that can transcend even death, and that the chain reaction of Jesus' great discovery, those many years before, triggered the release of pent-up energies that recharged the cells of His body so that "death was swallowed up in victory."
Romans 6:4 As Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.
