POEM --- FOURTH OF JULY (I Got Your Back)

I Got Your Back

I am a small and precious child
My dad's been sent to fight...
The only place I'll see his face
Is in my dreams at night.
He will be gone too many days
For my young mind to keep track
I may be sad but I am proud
My daddy's got your back!

*   *   *   *   *   *

I am a caring mother
My son has gone to war...
My mind is filled with worries
That I have never known before.
Everyday I try
To keep my thoughts from turning black
I may be scared but I am proud,
My son has got your back!

*   *   *   *   *   *

I am a strong and loving wife...
With a husband soon to go,
There are times I'm terrified
In a way most will never know.
I bite my lip and force a smile
As I watch my husband pack...
My heart may break but I am proud,
My husband's got your back!

*   *   *   *   *   *

I am a soldier...
Serving proudly, standing tall
I fight for freedom, yours and mine
By answering the call.
I do my job while knowing
The thanks it sometimes lacks
Say a prayer that I'll come home
It's me who's got your back.

THANK YOU!
TO ALL THOSE WHO ARE PUTTING THEIR LIVES ON THE LINE TO PROTECT OTHERS.
MAY GOD RICHLY BLESS YOU
AND YOUR FAMILY!

POEM (We Need God in America Again)

We Need God in America Again

George Washington, Thomas Jefferson
Samuel Adams, First Chief Justice John Jay,
Names synonymous with the spirit of our country
Founding fathers of the U.S.A.

Over 200 years ago they shook off the chains of tyranny
From Great Britain by Divine Call,
Citing 27 Biblical violations, they wrote the Declaration of Independence
With liberty and justice for all.

But something happened since Jefferson called the Bible the cornerstone,
For American liberty then put it in our schools as a Light
Or since "Give me liberty, or give me death," Patrick Henry said,
"Our country was founded on the Gospel of Jesus Christ"

We eliminated God from the equation of American life
Thus eliminating the reason this nation first began
From beyond the grave I hear the voices of our founding fathers plead
You need God in America again

Of the 55 men who formed the Constitution
Fifty-two were active members of their church
Founding fathers like Noah Webster, who wrote the first dictionary
Could literally quote the Bible chapter and verse

James Madison said, "We've staked our future on our ability to follow
The Ten Commandments with all our heart"
These men believed you couldn't even call yourself an American
If you subvert the Word of God and depart

In his farewell address, Washington said, "You can't have
National morality apart from religious principle," and that's the rules
'Cause right now we have nearly 150,000 kids carrying guns
To these war zones we call public schools

In the '40's and '50's student problems were chewing gum and talking
Then in the '90's, rape and murder are the trend
The only way this nation can even hope to last this decade
Is to put God in America again

The only hope for America is Jesus
The only hope for our country is Him
If we repent of our ways stand firm and say,
"We need God in America again!"

Abe Lincoln said, "The philosophy of the school room in one generation
Will be the philosophy of government of the next"
So when you eliminate the Word of God from the classroom and politics
You eliminate the nation that God's Word protects

America is now number one in teen pregnancy and violent crime
Number one in illiteracy, drug use, and divorce
Everyday a new holocaust of 5,000 unborn die
While pornography floods our streets with no remorse

America's dead and dying hand is on the threshold of the Church
While the spirit of Sodom and Gomorrah vex us all
When it gets to the point where people would rather come out of the closet than clean it
It's a sign that the judgement of God is gonna fall

If there's ever been a time to rise up Church, it's now
And as the Blood brought Saints of the Living God to proclaim
That it's time to sound the alarm, from the Church House
To the White House and say,"We want God back in America again!"

I believe it's time for America to stand up and proclaim
That one nation under God is our demand
And send this evil lifestyle back to satan where it came from
And let the Word of God revive our dying land

For Jesus Christ is coming back again in all His Glory
And every eye shall see Him on that day
That's why a new anointing of God's power's coming on us
To boldly tell the world you must be saved

Because astrology won't save you, your horoscope won't save you
The Bible says these things are all a farce
If you're born again, you don't need to look to that stuff for your answers
'Cause you can look to the very One who made those stars

History tells us time and time again
To live like there's no God makes you a fool
If you want to see all the children live right
Stop handing out condoms and start handing out Bibles in school

The only hope for America is Jesus
The only hope for our country is Him
If we repent of our ways
Stand firm and say,
"We Need God In America Again!"

Next time you begin to wonder what has gone wrong
in America...
Remember---
WE ARE NOTHING WITHOUT GOD!!!

PRAYER (Lead Me To Peace)

Lead Me To Peace

Lead me from death to life,
      from falsehood to truth.
Lead me from despair to hope,
     from fear to trust.
Lead from hate to love,
     from war to peace.
Let peace fill my heart, my world, my universe.
Amen

Workplace Prayer

My Heavenly Father, as I enter this workplace I bring Your Presence with me. I speak Your Peace, Your Grace, Your Mercy and Your perfect Order in this area. I acknowledge Your Power over all that will be spoken, thought, decided and done within these walls.
Lord, I thank You for the gifts You have blessed me with. I commit to using them responsibly in Your Honor. Give me a fresh supply of strength to do my job. Anoint my projects, ideas and energy so that even my smallest accomplishments may bring You Glory.
Lord, when I am confused, guide me. When I am burned out, infuse me with the light of the HolySpirit. May the work that I do and the way I do it bring faith, joy and a smile to all that I come in contact with today. Amen.

I highly recommend you print this prayer and keep it with you. Before you go in to your workplace, say this prayer. If you are feeling stresssed, say it until you feel God's Peace. If you become stressed or things are not going right at work, on your break, say this prayer. This IS a very powerful prayer for work. This prayer, if said in faith, WILL make a difference. BELIEVE THAT!  ~One Love~

INSPIRATIONAL STORY (The Seed)

The Seed

A successful business man was growing old and knew it was time to choose a successor to take over the business. Instead of choosing one of his directors or his children, he decided to do something different. He called all the young executives in his company together.
As they all gathered in the boardroom and sat at the table, the old man said, "It is time for me to step down and choose the next CEO. I have decided to choose one of you."
The young executives were shocked, but the boss continued,  "I am going to give each one of you a SEED today --- one very special SEED. I want you to plant the SEED and water it and come back here one year from today with what you have grown from the SEED I have given you. I will judge the plants that you bring and the one I choose will be the next CEO."
One man, named Jim, was there that day and he, like the others, received a SEED. He went home and excitedly told his wife the story. She helped him get a pot, soil and compost and he planted the SEED. Everyday, he would water it and watch to see if it had grown. After about three weeks, some of the other executives began to talk about their SEED and the plants that were beginning to grow.
Jim kept checking his SEED but nothing ever grew. Three weeks, four weeks, five weeks went by, still nothing. By now, others were talking about their plants but Jim didn't have a plant and he felt like a failure.
Six months went by, still nothing in Jim's pot. He just knew he had killed his SEED. Everyone else had trees and tall plants but he had nothing. Jim didn't say anyting to his colleagues, however, he just kept watering and fertilizing the soil --- he so wanted the SEED to grow. Jim told his wife that he wasn't going to take an empty pot but she asked him to be honest about what happened.
A year finally went by and all the young executives of the company gathered with their plants in the boardroom so the CEO could do his inspection. Jim felt sick to his stomach. He knew it was going to be the most embarrassing moment of his life but he also knew his wife was right about being honest.
As Jim walked into the boardroom with his empty pot, he was amazed at the variety of plants grown by the other executives. They were beautiful --- in all shapes and sizes. As Jim held his empty pot, many of his colleagues laughed at him. A few felt sorry for him. So Jim went to the back of the room with his empty pot and tried to hide,
When the CEO arrived, he surveyed the room and greeted his young executives. "My, what great plants, trees and flowers you all have grown." said the CEO. "Today, one of you will be appointed the next CEO!"
All of a sudden, the CEO noticed Jim at the back of the room with his empty pot. He ordered his Financial Director to bring Jim to the front.
Jim was terrified. He thought, "The CEO knows I'm a failure! Maybe he will fire me."
When Jim reached the front of the room, the CEO asked him what had happened to his SEED. Jim told the story of how he tried and watered and did all he could but it just never grew.
The CEO asked everyone to sit down except Jim. He looked at Jim and then announced to the young executives, "I have chosen your next Chief Executive Officer! His name is Jim."
Jim couldn't believe it. He couldn't even grow his SEED and yet, the CEO was appointing him as his successor.
"How could he be the new CEO?" the others asked.
Then the CEO said, "One year ago today, I gave everyone in this room a SEED. I told you to take the SEED, plant it, water it and bring it back to me today. But I gave you all boiled SEEDS. They were dead. It was not possible for them to grow. All of you, except Jim, have brought me trees and plants and flowers. When you found that the SEED would not grow, you substituted another seed for the one I gave you or you just got a plant. Jim was the only one with the courage and honesty to bring me a pot with my SEED in it. Therefore, he is the one who will be the new Chief Executive Officer!"

If you plant honesty... you will reap trust!
If you plant goodness... you will reap friends!
If you plant humility... you will reap greatness!
If you plant perseverance... you will reap contentment!
If you plant consideration... you will reap perspective!
If you plant hard work... you will reap success!
If you plant forgiveness... you will reap reconciliation!
So, be careful what you plant now; it will determine what you will reap later.

Think about this for a moment...
If I happened to show up on your doorstep crying ---
would you genuinely care or just be nosy?
If I called you and asked you to pick me up because something happened ---
would you come or be too busy?
If I needed a shouldr to cry on ---
would you give me yours or not be interested in my pain?
If I had one day left to live my life ---
would you be a part of that last day or just want to know if you are in my will?

THOUGHT PROVOKING (Cell Phones vs. Bible)

Cell Phones vs. Bible

I wonder what would happen if we treated our Bibles like we treat our cellphones?

What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets?

What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it?

What if we flipped through it several times a day?

What if we used it to receive messages from the text?

What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it?

What if we gave it to our kids as gifts?

Waht if we used it as we traveled?

Waht if we used it in case of emergency?

What if we upgraded it to get the latest version?

This is something to make you go ... hmmm... where is my Bible?

Oh, and one more thing ...
Unlike our cell phone, we don't ever have to worry about our Bible being disconnected because Jesus already paid the bill!
